Would better struts in the back help prevent my car from scraping when I have a heavy load of stuff? What is the purpose of a strut? Just curious. I obviously don't know much about cars.

A stiffer shock would help the rebound of the car. Making it stiffer. It would help alittle, but can't be for certain how much its gonna help. Idealy, you'd want a stiffer spring, it won't collapse as easily.
And if you go stiffer rear shock, to keep the handling balanced, your gonna wanna do the same to the front struts.

Pants too tight, wheels so bright!
Essentially. Struts have the spring inline with the shock body, shocks are just the tube.ScottyK wrote:Are struts and shocks the same thing?

I installed KYB AGX adjustables on back of F2 RS clone you can make them feel like a hard tail H.D. they may help, I have had back full of tools and parts the car did not know the diff. I had no rubbing before the change, sure stiffened up the rear.
