Bad looking. Nothing American comes close. Those pony cars look pretty dated next to that little boot.

Right on Steve
I would give up both my Foci for this one. Hopefully it doesn't come around for a couple more years yet though...... That way I can get caught up on my payments

im actually molesting my screen and typing this with my big toe as we speak!!!!!!!!!! i know ford oked the new c30 platform to come over this upcoming year. the little birdie that told me also says that the R/S is a firm possibility the down side is coming up with 38 grand to buy it. this is fords big deal right now, how do we bring this kinda car here and sell it for a profit? they would have to charge around 35-40 grand for it. but we still may see a watered down version of it, kinda like the st170 turned svt, most likely it will have slight cosmetic changes due to our stupid 5mph crash law. but really with just over 300 horse on tap and wrong wheel drive, is it worth the same money youd pay to get a evo X MR or a used gt500? no its not, dont get me wrong this car makes my prostate spazim but really, howd you think there gonna market it? if the sho gets the green light then this up coming eco boosted mustang better be a road rapper, then i can see a spot for the little pocket rocket that should!!!
wink wink.....bitches
I have to disagree with the $35k to $40k price point. The Mazda Speed3 sells for $24k. I don't see why the Focus RS would have to sell for much more than that. In the UK a Focus with a 2.0 liter engine sells for $14k this is of course in pounds but still very close to what we pay in dollars. The Focus RS sells for $24k in the UK. It should only be slightly higher in dollars, maybe $27k. I would guess it is cheaper for Ford to build cars here than in the UK. Just my thoughts on something that may or may not even happen.

Yes it would, it should easily compete with those cars in everything except off the line acceleration since it's obviously traction limited.MNiceGuy wrote:So this would compete directly with the STi and Evo? I don't know what either goes for but yeah Ford would have to hover around that price point to sell any.
On a road course or windy real world road I'd bet the RS will take either one fairly easily.
