I'm assuming you're doing a rear drive conversion? Plenty have been done and I've seen engines as large as a 5.4 4v installed in a Focus.

I'd like to see someone do a Coyote 5.0 swap, that would be cool.

A 4.6 is as wide as a 460. I'd say use the 302 windsor and move it out to 347. Its narrow and light and cheap.to service the drive train you'd be dropping the sub frame . oil changes the engine remains in , all other jobs out she comes.plus with the mustang having a three hundred thirty horse turbo four, the v 8 is just for the sound.
