Okay, I started to have some issues over the past week, I don't want to pull this GD POS apart again, but I may have to. Here are the symptoms. In gear tooling along if I press the gas pedal for a little more acceleration RPM's rise crazy like and the car stutters a bit until the clutch catches again. It's a 6 puck so it chatters anyway, but it does the same chattering when this happens. Clutch swap time? What's are your opinions?

How often do you drive it? Makes me wonder if it's properly bedded in.

Are you ever going to turbo it? If not just put a stock clutch back in so the car is street friendly and drive it, the OEM clutches work quite well.

I drive it quite a bit, probably 200 miles a week, this didn't start happening until the past week. Easier on the pocket book than the G8. And yes, if I am going to open it up a stock clutch is going in.

What flywheel do you have?

I just checked and the OEM clutch is actually a bit steep at $350.00.

I can get it if you want it.

Stock flywheel, will need to get it resurfaced if it is salvageable.

Hope it works out. Is it a fairly old clutch?

Aftermarket clutches don't have nearly the lifespan of a good OEM one I have found.

That's a fact, I changed the one in my SVT at 110k and it wasn't worn out or slipping yet and I've seen other OEM Focus clutches go past 200k.

^^That's a fact. My kid has got over 230k on his original clutch. Still felt fine when I drove it recently.
