Just picked up a 2001 ZX3, has a sticker on the quarter "S2". What's that all about? Other than the machine finished 16 inch wheels I'm not noticing anything "special" about it.

The S2 package would have had a gray lip on the bottom of the front bumper as well as gray rockers and a unique rear spoiler. Just an appearance package.

Thanks, that pic looks just like the one I picked up, same color too.

I thought the "S2" had special wheels, a little different spring compression ratio or height(between regular and SVT), unique exterior grey color option, bike rack, seats(more bolstered then regular), and a stereo or speaker upgrade? I could be way off, and, probably am.

He mentioned the wheels in his first post so I bypassed that, no clue about the gray color you mentioned, bike rack was a Kona edition thing and the stereo upgrade would have been a Sony edition or Mach audio edition thing.

How many odd ball packages like this were available? I've had a Kona, a Mach, now an S2, and still have a couple SVT's.

There was a Sony Xplode package also ... but I think it was just in the sedan.

I thought the Xplode was a hatchback because it had the sub enclosure

Looks like I was wrong, it was a Sedan like iminhell believed.
