Ford EEC-IV, same as most Fords pre-2000 (after is EEC-V).
I have a computer sitting here from one.

Re: Older Turbos (pre-EMS)
SVO was Fuel Injected. What you're thinking isn't SVO, it's earlier. Like the 1979 Indy Pace Car with the 2.3T. It was a blow-through carb. Also, the T-A 6.6T was a blow-through setup. Most of the old stock carb setups where very sensitive to heat. Being a carb has no was to add or remove based sole...

Re: M112 Zetec?
Have to remember that I'm not really looking for something, added power, for daily use. Only racing and the occasional S&G use.
But a big shot, 150'ish, does go pretty quickly.

Re: M112 Zetec?
Actually juice is cheaper/easier short term. Which is the alternative ... something like a 150 shot.

Re: M112 Zetec?
VCT delete and reground SVT cams actually (just a tad bigger than stock grind).
Brandon, the $1,500 is my budget to get the S/C up and running, not cams.
I know I said I'd never go boost but ...

Re: M112 Zetec?
Working on it. Just figuring out the math first so I have some type of starting point. Step 2 is making it'll physically fit and finding a good orientation, belt routing, etc. Step 3 is having all the parts I think I'll need made, bracket for alternator, manifold flange, blower base, intake runners ...

M112 Zetec?
So I got this here blower for free. I feel the SVT, M60, is just too small and pathetic; 199whp and all. So how can I bolt this badmammajamma on the mighty Focus?

Re: Changing Fuel Pump - Special Tool
I use a 3/8" extension and a rubber mallet.
Tap firmly near the bottom on a rib and move around the ring. Never had any problems getting it off/on.
Actually just pulled my pump last weekend to change my sock filter.

Engine fuse box?
Is there a bulkhead for the shit going into the car? (reached a paw around and I though I felt one) One thing lead to another and now I have 1/2 the damn engine wiring torn apart working my way to the fuse box. I'd like to pull the fuse box out completly so i can trace wires and revamp some existing...

Re: Tuning my 2007 ST Stage 2
Just keep in mind that a 'dyno tune' is different than a 'drivability tune'. Just make sure you know what you're getting into and ask lots of questions. Adaptive blows goats, BTW. With a solid tune, it's useless. Actually when I turn adaptive on, I loose power and mileage. My trims are within 0.1% a...

Re: ford techs unite!!!!!!!!!!
The fuck you think I never wanted to upgrade? I know this chain drive crap is for losers. Odd thing is, how many slipped chains/gears/smushed valves have you ever heard of on a dura? I've heard of none (but I don't pay much attention either) ... er did Ryan (zx2ricer/mnfocusS) smush his? (I'll...

BFG Sport Comp II's
Not too noisy, stick pretty well, ware ? (mine are still new)
I just don't like the lack of response with then.
Good tire for the money otherwise IMO.
KDW's are loud but more responsive.
You don't want to pay what's on the other rims. They're over $200/each.
