Re: ST Brake Confusion

k..... got rotors and pads on order. It's incredible on how the "big box" stores have nothing listed for ST, or "excluding ZX4". Don't get it, there's a million of these thing running around. Getting ceramic pads this time. I've never had these before, so interested in how they'l...

Re: ST Brake Confusion

I know SVT pads will work. What about rotors? Are mine 280 mm? SVT rotors are 300mm?

Will SES rotors or any other rotor +05 work?

ST Brake Confusion

As luck would have it, all three Foci need front brakes. Changed out the 01 and 04 with no problem. The 05 ST is a challenge...the local O'Rieley's lists pads and rotors for '05s with a note "EXCLUDING ZX4". Not even a mention of an ST. The hell.... :( Ford has pads for $62 and rotors for ...

Re: Lug Nuts Last 209,000 Miles

When the snow tires go on in a few weeks, the rest of the studs will get a good look. For sure new lug nuts will go on.

Thanks for the offers guys. And o2, if she has trouble down there, I'll get a hold of you. Thanks.

Re: Lug Nuts Last 209,000 Miles

Yup, good rule. It may get new wheel studs all around. There is one in the rear that's needed to be cleaned up with a die.

I think I'll toss the 12 x 1.5 tap and die in the garbage. lol If the stud or nut needs that kind of attention, it's junk.

Lug Nuts Last 209,000 Miles

A month ago, my daughter called and said it felt like the front passenger wheel was going to fall off. Checked it out, and 3 wheel studs were broken off  A nice farmer came out to check out what the comotion was, and offered up his car trailer. Inched the focus on the trailer and towed it bac...

Good to go

$200 with a tow to the shop. Sucks, but what do you do? Don't feel like dealing with it myself. Heading to the river to burn some gas in the boat.
