Re: LMFAO

Dropping anchor sounds good to me....it's almost time to get the hot rod back on the river! A liitle bit of searching turned up alot on the Prius/Neutral thing. It will go into neutral, but not in the normal mechanical way we are used to. Quote from somebody: i agree the transmission shifter is not ...

Re: LMFAO

Didn't watch the vid, but I heard the Pius doesn't go into neutral when moving? Might have to research that a bit tonight.

Re: So I hit a patch of ice and....

Tires with mountain and snowflake are the schnitz. My 05 ST with TC sucks. I drive up a pretty steep snow covered hill. With TC on, it's like hitting the rev limiter. I turn it off and you can play with the car. I can go up that big bastard hill better without TC than with. I still have Steve's Dunl...

Re: Getting Drilled New Years Day

Yeah, the kid that was working at BOWMAN LOCK AND SAFE (shameless plug) New Years Eve did all that. He said 90% of the time that will work. We got the 10%'er. That car is one tough SOB. Good news though....Joe is sending his best driller tommorow. F the towing to the shop. Payment is an afternoon on...

Re: Getting Drilled New Years Day

It's stuck in "off", and the key goes in and out. They f'ed with it for an hour last night with no luck. Pretty much sounds like drill time. I've got a hook up for a free LC (it pays to boat with a locksmith!) to work with her keys. He says if I drill out in the cold, he'll supply the rest...

Getting Drilled New Years Day

My daughter called last night and says the ingnition won't turn. She called the locksmith and he couldn't get her on the road.....says he's going to have to drill out the cylinder....once the car get towed to the shop.

So I'm off the Roch with some sharpened drill bits to rescue her and the car!

Re: Fuel Filter Change $$

Those clamp clip thingys are kind of a pain when they are all full of gunk. What happened to good old fashioned hose clamps? Luckly none of those plastic thingys broke, but the new kit (not FORD) had some come with it. They were different looking, but probably could have made them work. Good idea ab...

Re: parking for the winter?

Yeah, that will do it. You don't even have to bring the battery in....just make sure it's good and charged. On a nice day in Jan-Feb, hook up the charger and give it a little exercise.

Re: parking for the winter?

+1 on the dryer sheets. We use them at our place on the river, and inside the boat. NEVER a problem! Also a big fan of keeping our crap ethanol blended fuel fresh with Stabil. Reccommend that it's added and driven a few miles to get it thru the entire fuel system. Those that start the vehicles perio...
