Wow, sure looked like the spare tire to me. I think your girlfried got the better deal though. I can't imagine your car handles too well with the mismatch in tire sizes. I bet you can get the back end to come around pretty good now on the ramps! I was going to put my stock wheels/tires back on for t...

Yeah the nascar "roadraces" are almost as boring as the speedway races. It would be great if the drivers had any talent but all they did was run off track or into each other causing what were 2 lap sprints between an almost constant yellow flag. Just goes to show they can't brake OR turn r...

I might be able to make it since it's pratically in my back yard too. What time are you going to arrive, and where can we meet?

I know what you mean. I've had my car for a little more than a year but with all the gravel trucks on the roads my hood is already toast. Even if you can't see it you know one is ahead as you can hear the the ticking sound as your paint is slowly sand blasted away. I can't see driving something real...

If you want to see a really cool race watch the US MotoGP round at Laguna Seca July 23. Can the Dr. get back on top, or will the Kentucy Kid continue to dominate? Or will Hopper finally win one? Maybe KR Jr will finally put his dads bike on the box? It's been an awesome year or racing so far!

I roadraced motorcycles for 9 years and heat cycling tires was bad for them. The best tire was always a brand new one. I can't imagine that car tires are any different. Tire warmers became popular not only to heat tires before a race, but to keep them warm between races to not heat cycle them.

Baby has a bad shoe?

One of my brand new tires appears to be defective. I was driving to work yesterday morning on 94 just before mounds blvd and heard a noise, sounded like a spring unsprung. I looked around thinking I may have hit something and there was nothing in the road or behind me so when I got to work I looked ...

A Gremlin? Oh man, that hurts!

At least it's not like those old Honda Civics with the fart cans on them. They remind me of a squashed AMC Pacer (the first WIDE small car). I better shut up now as I might be dating myself...

Did the SVT install over the weekend, pic was taken yesterday. I've been trying to hit every bump I can find to break it in. When we measured Steve @ Tousleys SVT with the same wheels and tires as mine his was 1" lower at both ends. So there's still hope it will settle somewhat. No auto X this ...

New and improved 05 Focus with an SVT suspension kit and racing stripes. http://www.pressenter.com/~matoso/focus3.JPG I really needed something to offset the white wheels so I was looking for a rocker panel stripe. I manage to find this kit on-line. It was easy to install, the dawn dishwashing soap ...

Thanks for the offers, but after looking at it I decided to do this myself (I did have to borrow a spring compressor from nblume, thanks man). It was easy but as always the case it took longer than I thought. However I don't know why anyone would remove the brake caliper, it wasn't in the way. Also ...
