Re: Time to Powdercoat my Wheels
I'd like to give a plug to the place I mentioned above in Spring Valley WI. I got the wheels back in 2 days and they look great. They also have an epoxy base primer and he blasted off all the old paint. He said the clear came off real easy but the paint under was tough. It ended up costing me a litt...

Re: New tires for the 17" EAPs?
Aren't Kumos made in China? I have to admit most of my tire experience is on motorcycles, and those chinese tires even smell different than the quality stuff.

New tires for the 17" EAPs?
I'll be picking up my rims from the powdercoater today. So now I need to decide on tires. I liked the Pirelli P nero zeros but was wondering if there is a better option. I wasn't all that crazy about the treadwear of the Pirellis but I did auto x them a few times so that can't help much. I think I l...

Coming to a dealer near you in 2011, or was the 2010? When that happens my car is for sale. Where is Steve? I thought dealers had all the inside info.

Re: mnfocusS with yet another dilema.
I like the EAP becuase they hide the ugly rear drum brake. That is why I have them (well they were really cheap too).

Re: Time to Powdercoat my Wheels
I found an ad for a place in Spring Valley WI (about 30 miles from my house) called Ultimate Coatings. They say no job too small. Anybody heard of them? http://www.ultcoatings.com/ Do I have to be concerned about the type of coating? Brake dust has stained the white paint under my clearcoat already ...

Time to Powdercoat my Wheels
Any recomendations for a local place to do my FRPP wheels? They need to be stripped of the flaking clearcoat first. Thanks.

Re: Cams for my 05'
I have the stg 1 cranes in my car. BE SURE you note the bucket sizes for each valve before you install the new cams. That will makes it so much easier to order the sizes you will need once you run in the new cams. Adjusting the valves made a world of difference in my car. And so did the tune. Break ...

Re: New seat or seat cover options?
Where does one even get new Recaros? Curious as everyone seems to love them but I haven't seen anywhere to buy them.

New seat or seat cover options?
I am tired of my neoprene seat covers. What options do I have for some good comfortable (like drive 5 hours in them) seats? I've heard of Recaros but where do you get them and how much? Or is there a better seat cover option? Looked into Katzins but they don't list a price anywhere. They used to hav...

I looked into those too. Really nice but $$. They look even harder to keep clean too.

I bet that looks great in black too. But those don't look like FRPP wheels, or are they? I was wondering if you could do something like that.

Re: What to do with these flaking white FRPP 17" wheels?
Good to know, I thought I was the only one who liked the white wheels! Still a bich to clean. If I decide to paint/coat them I might just wait until winter. Too bad I can't just get the clearcoat off and redo that.
