Re: sport compact meet!!!

Didn't that corner used to have an AutoZone on it or something? When did O'Rielly's show up?

Damn, you go fight in a distant foreign country for 15 months and everything changes!

Re: FS: 17" Rota Slipstreams - ONLY $400

PM sent,
couple of questions on the Rota's...
Are they hub-centric or do they need rings? If needed, do you also have them?
Center caps...included?
Lug Nuts, special "tuner" ones required or will "normal" ones work? If special needed, are they included?

Thanks,
Tim

Painting Bumpers EDITED

Since no one appears to have any knowledge on painting prices in the cities, let me ask this... If I buy a gun, how hard would it be to spray it myself. Already have a compressor, just need the painting specific add ons. Anyone??? I am looking to go with the Euro front and rear bumper and adding a s...

Re: Weight Reduction :D

It is your car and do with it as you wish, but...I would think twice about cutting out the spare tire well and just using a flat piece of metal to cover the hole. To me anyway, the well would add rigidity to the rear end. A flat piece of steel is more likely to flex under load than a piece with vert...

Re: rear mount turbo?

Some things on his posting don't make sense to me. First he is running the D20 with 7 lbs of boost (best as I can tell) and he is claiming 227 whp? Compared to actual dynos for the FS turbo set up on a D23 with 8 lbs of boost making less. Hmmm Also, what is he running for engine management? Maybe I ...

Re: all kinds of exhaust

i have the 3in trubenz and love it. but dont run 3in and race header, its super loud i have no choice, i have the svt motor. You dont need 3" for a n/a svt motor. I loved my Truebendz on my old car. IIRC the 2.5L Turbo WRX STi is running a 3" pipe and making oh, 300hp or so. Somehow I dou...

Re: feeler thread

If you are looking for a RWD car that is going to be bought for the fuel economy, then a blown Mushtank wouldn't be my first choice. Especially since you would more than likely have to use premium gas, and loose economy too boot. Not sure what Honda you are thinking about having RWD...the S2000? If ...

Re: My "current" ride

No, the HUMVEE is all American. The design goes back to the mid-late 80's. US Army wanted something to replace the M151 "Jeep" that had a bad tendency to roll over and kill everyone. The first HUMVEEs were the M1025 (basic 4 door ute version) then the M998 came out and they had the "t...

Re: Money to spend... what to get?

You really can't get a TB unless you also pick up a SCT Chip to flash the 'puter. Unless you do that, you will be running way too lean. The difficulty with NO2 and the Duratec motors, is that you have to be very careful where you plumb it in otherwise you could end up with it "pooling" in ...

Re: turbo install help

ch435, Thanks for the offer, come summer, bring your thirst and appetite on over to Egret, cause Ima go'in FI. One of the other appealing things that this kit offers (besides a Stg 2 upgrade) is the reported reliability of the tune/set up. My ZX3 is my daily driver, I can't afford things like rods a...

Re: turbo install help
true, the quality of the kit has me looking at buying a duratec car now
Damn, its that good eh? Looks like I have just "allocated" $3,200 of my deployment savings to some FI from FS for my D23 in the ZX3. Does anyone have pictures of an install? I know that the kit comes w...
