The car just got from the towing company and the only thing it needs is the #3 valve seat. So I am goin to clean it up, fix the head, and do all the recalls that were never done (springs, fuel pump and rear door latch kit) and put it at the bottom of my driveway with a $1700.00 or B.O sign in it and see what happens. If it sells I will use that cash to buy the 2.3 from Al and prep that for the 03 zx3.

Normally it's not that easy to fix. Most of the time the seat breaks apart and chew's the heck out of the head and piston, and parts can jam down the cylender breaking a ring and scratching the walls. It's also possible for the bit's to get spit out into the intake or exshaust manifold so it can wreck the other cylenders to. :?

I've heard about chunks of the valve seat getting blown out into the intake and sucked into the same or a different cylinder causing major issues as well.
Tasca Auto Group- Employee pricing on all parts.

Yep. Parts will even sit and wait in the EGR tube for the new motor to be installed, so it can wreck that one too.

If you end up needing a head, I've got one in my garage doing nothing.

How difficult is the 2.3 Duratec swap? Say, if you had a wrecked car with a 2.3 and wanted to swap the whole thing into a Zetec car?
