There is and my stock shims were the right size so I got lucky but it is very quick to measure and fix any gaps.

How much more difficult is the install if you are installing 4.06 gears at the same time?

It shouldn't be anymore difficult, since you already have to remove the ring gear to install it on the lsd. It might actually be easier.

Yeah, i installed mine in just a few hours, but I did have a hoist. haha.

Yeah, removing the old ring gear is one step you'd get to skip with the new gearing. Almost wish I would've done mine, but city mpg is bad enough already...
